Getting Started with Onramp

Create an Account

To onboard to Coinbase Onramp, you must first create a Coinbase account on the Coinbase Developer Platform (CDP).

If you have a Coinbase account, you can Sign in even if you have never used Coinbase Developer Platform.

1. Go to Coinbase Developer Platform and click Get started. If you have a Coinbase account, click Sign in.
2. Enter your email address and verify that email with a code.
3. Create a password for your account.
4. Provide your full name.
5. Enter your phone number to set up 2-factor authentication (2FA) and enter the code sent to your phone.
6. Accept the terms of service. You are taken to the project home screen.

Copy Project ID

1. Still in the CDP, select Dashboard. A default project displays.
2. Copy the Project ID to use later.
3. Click on Settings > Edit and rename the project to "Onramp Project" or something meaningful.

Create a CDP API Key

1. Select the API Keys tab.
2. Click the Create API key button.
3. Enter an API key nickname and click Create & Download.
4. Secure your private/public key pair in a safe location.

Integrating Onramp

To integrate Coinbase Onramp, developers can either use our APIs or SDK. We recommend the API pathway for most developers, particularly those aggregating multiple onramps.
